GENERATION 2 Models - The Step-Motor Failed To Initialize Ventilation System
Possible Faulty Parts:
Fix:
The Ceramic Valve may not have been able to initialize. This valve distributes water to the hot water pipe, coffee dispenser and steam pipe. Over time, the valve becomes clogged with scale, therefore, it cannot switch between the aforementioned functions. Also, the microswitches may be faulty from use or damaged from a leak inside the machine.
Replace Ceramic Valve.
Some Jura models have a Reactive Cable in the rear of the machine. This sensor is used for measuring the scaling degree (Tolerance).
Clean the contact pins, dry them and apply contact spray, if necessary.
For GEN 2 models, this error indicates there was a problem initializing the ventilation system upon start up. The step motor, which is responsible for activating the ventilation system (the vents located on the top of the machine), may be the cause of the malfunction. These vents must be open for the machine to operate.
Most often, the stepper motor needs to be replaced.
